Today we raise up our friend, Linda Doran — Our homebound and nursing home members are often so isolated that your phone call, visit, even a card can mean the difference between lonely existence and continued life in our faith community. What can you do? Please reach out to those who have been such a vital part of our congregation.

Three Lakes Conference – Area ELCA churches will gather for the annual Three Lakes Conference on Sunday, September 13th at 3pm at Bethel Lutheran Church in Cedarville. Each congregation is encouraged to have two voting members; others are also welcome to attend. Those interested will meet at Faith at 2pm to carpool, and are welcome to bring a snack to share.

Annual Bazaar & Salad Buffet - Time is quickly approaching for
the Bazaar and Salad Buffet hosted by the Women of Faith. It will be held on Saturday, October 10th from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm. If needed, additional tickets are available in the church office or from Vicki Luoma. Vicki will also accept ticket money or it can be left in the office. If paying by check, please make it out to Faith Lutheran WELCA. We know that we have some wonderful bakers and cooks, and are asking for your help with the following:

• Handwork and craft items of all kinds (knitted,
crocheted, sewn, etc.)
• Baked goods for the bake sale (breads, cookies, bars,
candy, etc. and if making pies, please no use of milk or
eggs.)
• Cupcakes, cakes, cookies & bars for the dessert table.
• Items for Attic Treasures (no clothing please)
• Use of your card tables
• Salads for the buffet.

Please call Joy Lake at 906-259-2300 to talk about donating a salad. Thank you in advance for all your contributions for this event! It has always been a huge success due to your help and generosity.

Flower Arrangements - If you would like to have special flowers on the altar in honor of a birthday, memory, or anniversary, please contact the office.
